Digital Health Checkup: Surviving to Thriving with your EMR is a series of learning events hosted by the SMA EMR Program in collaboration with some of the most experienced physicians and field experts in Saskatchewan. We are excited to announce our next lunch-hour webinar session in this series, titled Best Practices - Patient Charting in the EMR.
Clinical record keeping is an integral component in good professional practice and the delivery of quality healthcare. Regardless of your specific EMR, good patient charting practices should enable continuity of care and should enhance communication between different healthcare professionals. This session will focus on best practices as they apply to any EMR, agnostic of the vendor.
At the conclusion of this event, participants will be able to:
- Recognise the medicolegal aspects of medical record keeping
- Discuss the different components of a good medical record
- Identify common errors that occur during medical record keeping.
This session will take place on Wednesday, November 18 and Thursday, November 19, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, and will be led by Dr. Andries Muller.
Please feel free to share this invitation with others in your practice. Please RSVP and send your questions to the EMR team at emr@sma.sk.ca.
