Session description

Identifying and understanding variation in data is critical to drive continuous quality improvement efforts.  This session builds on the March 2017 QI Power Hour which covered foundational concepts of variation and its importance to quality improvement work.

This session will:

  • dig deeper into interpreting variation
  • introduce tools to identify variation and help you understand if you are achieving the anticipated results
  • run charts and control charts
  • cover effective  improvement strategies for managing variation
  • PDCA for common cause variation
  • larger process changes for special cause variation
